Thigh Reduction

This procedure is often referred to as a “thigh lift”. It’s the best way to remove excess skin and fat from the upper thighs resulting in more shapely, well-defined upper legs.

Have you experienced major weight loss that has left your thighs looking deflated and saggy?  External factors such as age, fluctuations in weight, and even genetics can cause you to be unhappy with the way your legs look. Many individuals are discouraged by the dimpling and fullness seen in the upper legs. They long for a smooth, firmer appearance. They’ve worked hard to lose excess weight, but the skin lacks elasticity and does not naturally conform to the reduced body size.

Excess skin on the upper legs tends to droop downward causing a saggy look along the inner, outer, and mid-thigh. Surgical contouring can greatly improve the overall contour of the upper legs. The thigh lift is a surgical procedure that removes excess skin from this area. In most cases, it also repairs the underlying connective tissue. This helps to reduce the circumference of the legs giving them a smoother, more defined appearance.

Surgery is performed under general anesthesia on an outpatient basis, so you’ll be able to go home the same day. There is no need for a hospital stay. If you are at a stable weight, do not have major physical problems, suffer from significant skin laxity in the upper legs, and have realistic expectations, then you are a candidate for a thigh reduction.

Whether you schedule a consultation with our office or another plastic surgeon, always be sure that your surgeon is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and is qualified to perform surgeries in accredited or state-licensed medical facilities.
